This may have been a bad idea....

My mom bought me the Kindle Fire for Christmas.  She's not technologically advanced, so I ordered it and she is paying me back.  I will say Amazon did a great job.  I ordered it Saturday with 3-5 day shipping (earliest delivery estimated at 12/1).  I received an email last night saying it shipped.  When I opened my mailbox this afternoon, THERE IT WAS!!!

I have spent most of my evening playing with it.  Downloading and playing games.  Downloading books.  And just in general playing.  :-)  Any suggestions?  So far, I've stuck to the free stuff and am having fun, but I know eventually I'll end up spending money on it.  Heehee!

Games so far:

Blackjack
Solitare
Skeeball
Air hockey
Zombie

Books:
Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin
A Short History of the World
Don Quixote
The French Maid (I like cheesy romance novels, sue me!  One can't always read history books.  ;-) )
Mary's Son: A Christmas Tale

So...if I'm MIA for the next few days, you have been warned.  ;-)

  1. I got a Kindle for Christmas last year and I think it's finally paid for itself with all the free books I've downloaded and read. I LOVE my Kindle!! Have fun! (It was nice knowin' ya!)

  2. HAHA! I'll be back ocassionally. I'll still be running. Got to brag about it somewhere. ;-)

I love your idea of how the free books pay for it. I'm all about keeping a running tally of the cost of the books I get for free to see how long it takes for it to pay for itself. :-) This should be fun!

The 5 books I downloaded free are about $55. :-) Not bad for the first go round!
