Day of Reckoning Will Be Bad

It has been a bad week on the healthy diet/exercise train here. I think it's been a combo of weird schedule and just being emotionally drained. I am interviewing in-house for a new position at work. If I don't get it, I am being let go. No pressure. So, yesterday was the interview. I know I ate more than I should have the night before due to emotional eating. Last night wasn't too bad, but I was definately not doing good. And I should have run last night, but I chose to do 30 minutes on the bike instead. Ugh. It's not going well.

I did use the Wii Active today. Got through the whole set too. Finally figured out the darn controllers! LOL! I was going to run this evening after work, which is actually work from home because boss doesn't want me in the office when the other candidates are walking the halls, but we were just invited to an O's game tonight. So, I did get in 25 minutes on the Wii, but no running. So, tomorrow must be running night. I want to do the Wii Active again tomorrow, so I think it will be done mid-day, then a quick run after work. It won't counteract all the devestation I caused during the week, but at least I can say I accomplished two goals this week. Sigh...

  1. You will have ups and downs, I so get that. this winter school kicked my butt and I didn't do anywhere near as much as I wanted. But being aware and scheduling for when you can get a run in is important. So many people fall out of a routine and continue to fall and never regain their routine. Don't beat yourself up, you have a lot going on!

  2. Thanks. I have such high expectations for myself that when I fail, I beat myself up over it. I really have to let go of that mentality. It's not doing me any good.

So, tomorrow I'm going to work until 11:30 (which is when we get done work normally on summer Fridays) and do the Wii Active. Then store to get detergent and home to clean. At 5:00 p.m.'ish, I'm going to the park to run. I will at least have gotten my two runs in this week and exercised the rest of the days. And Sat. starts it all over again. A fresh start.
