In case you haven't figured it out, I'm a huge Philadelphia Phillies fan. Have been since I was 12 years old. I played softball in middle school (catcher, 3rd base, and short stop mostly) and loved it. I started watching the Phillies because it was summer, there wasn't anything on tv, and I understood the game. I've been a huge fan ever since. So much so, I wrote my MA thesis on Philadelphia sports fans. LOL!
With that being said, the end of the week just went from bad to worse. My beloved Phils lost last night at home against the San Francisco Giants, thus ending their chance to play in the World Series. It did not make the week any easier to handle. I was really hoping they would turn it around and at least give my week something positive. Nope.
So, all I have to say at this point is GO RANGERS!
Forgive my sports ignorance, but aren't the Rangers a hockey team?
ReplyDeleteThere is a Rangers hockey team. There is also a Texas baseball team named the Rangers. They have never been in the World Series, let alone won one. Sadly, it doesn't look like this year will be their year.
