Well, I applied for a bunch of positions at the end of October/early November and I had a good amount of luck in getting interviews from them. I've had now three in-person interviews from five resumes.
Today, was the third of the three. It is the one of the three I would like the most. I have been pretty open about wanting to work at a museum and for the first time I had an interview at a historical organization. It is for fund raising, but it is for a museum...which is a step in the right direction.
I think the interview itself went well. I believe I had good rapport with the interviewer and I believe I gave good answers and asked a few good questions of my own. Now, is the waiting game. I was told they want to make a decision before Christmas, but more likely during the holiday week.
The last two jobs have told me the same. A decision will be made by the end of the year. I'm hoping one of them comes through. It's been 18 months since I've been gainfully employed and as much as sitting around all day doing nothing sounds fabulous when you're working, trust me, it's not.
