First snow of the year...in October...

Yesterday we had the first snow of the season.  Yes, the first snow of the season....in October.  Craziness!  And it wasn't just a simple little flurry or a simple little coating.  It was so thick and heavy we used the snow blower.

I will admit that when I first heard we were in for snow, I blew it off.  Come on!  It's October!  People over-react so often to snow that I blew it off.  Had no faith that this really would amount to much.  Alrighty, I was wrong.  So wrong.  LOL!  It's all good.  It's pretty and believe it or not, it's already melting.  I heard Thursday it's supposed to be 60 degrees.  Yup, 60 degrees.  What a week.

Time to head down the front steps

There's a bit of snow out there

A bit of snow on the cars

Yup, a bit of snow.  Can you see how deep the snow is?

Where the heck is my driveway???

We were a tad bit nervous that the snow on the wires would cause our power to go out.  It did for about 15 seconds, but then came back on.  Phew!  Our friend who lives about 15 minutes north of us lost power yesterday and I think over 400,000 people in Central PA lost power.

All sorts of snow out there.

Thank heavens for snow blowers!
