Zooma Annapolis Race Day Email

I got my first email from Zooma about race day information. Gulp. Less than two weeks. Scary. Yea...yea...I know. "Chris, this is half marathon number 6. You shouldn't be scared." Shush! I always kinda freak out a bit with the longer races.

Anyway...It gave a run down of the weekend's festivities. We'll be rolling into town Friday, so it was good to know when stuff was happening.

I'm excited about the race and the Mocktail Party. Never been to a race that hosted a Mocktail Party before hand. Fun! 

And since I got the email from Zooma, I wandered over to weather.com to see what the temps are going to be that weekend (more to the point, freak out if the temps are too high). Apparently, we are more than 10 days out from Zooma. LOL! Guess who will be stalking weather.com until I can get Annapolis weather. Anyone else do this? 

I'm feeling fairly positive about Zooma, though I'm not sure if I'll PR or not. I've been doing the intervals on the treadmill more often and I feel a bit stronger. I have an 8 mile run this coming Saturday on the advice of my running coach. Then it's keep myself from being injured until race day week. Yes, it has a name. It became more apparent I needed to focus on this after falling down the front steps the day before the AC Half Marathon in Oct.  

What do you do as you get closer to race day? Do you have certain routines? Any advice for the last two weeks?
