Motivational Monday

Dreams do not have expiration dates.

I tried this year to run several sub-x distances - 5k, 8k/5 mile, and half marathon. Sadly, I did not do any of them. I'm not happy about this, but I know I didn't put in the work. It's no one's fault but my own.

But, I also know that just because I didn't accomplish those goals this year, it doesn't mean I can't accomplish them. There is no one saying because I didn't meet them this year, I can't try again. It's kinda crazy that. Life allows for trying again.

And I'm going to! I signed up for half marathon #7 with the first ever The Love Run in Philadelphia on March 30, 2014. I'm a cold weather runner and I wanted a half in February or March, which are not easy to find. This race is perfect  - the right time of year, one of my favorite cities, and plenty of time to train. What could be better???

So, on this Motivational Monday, look at your dreams. Are there things you want to do, but haven't yet? Are there things you have given up on that you wish you hadn't? Go for it! It's never too late! After all, dreams do not have expiration dates!

  1. Wonderful quote, soo true!!! There is the Shamrock Half Marathon mid march in VA beach, which is a great race. I did it this year. Duper flat course and a lot of race swag :-)

  2. Yup, ran it twice (including this year). PRed in 2012, not so much this. LOL! I'll run it again at some point. It's one of my top 3 races!
