The Do Over Experiment

Sunday was the first day of getting back on tract. Worked well. I didn't eat the way I should have, meaning there was no real breakfast, lunch and dinner, but I was within points for the day. Sometimes it just doesn't work the way you think it will. I got up late, which was fine, I needed the sleep. I decided to just wait for lunch since it seemed silly to eat breakfast, then lunch so close together. But, I started doing things around the house and lost track of time. LOL! Grabbed some crackers and cheese about 2:00 p.m. Nothing exciting, but something small as we were heading out to dinner with my hubby's parents. Then I kept doing things around the house, so I wasn't too tempted to eat anything else.

We headed out to dinner at a local deli/restaurant and I had a yummy Larkspur (all the menu items are named after birds). A Larkspur is Muenster and Cheddar cheese, spinach, tomato and sprouts on a tortilla with Ranch/Mayo dressing. Sooo good! It's 8 points, so that's why I was trying to be conservative with my points early in the day. Wanted to make sure I had enough for dinner. :-) I also had the potato chips that came with it. They were good. I did resist the delicious Pepper Jack Tomato Soup they have. I was the only one. :-(

After dinner, I made myself a yummy dessert! A slice of sugar-free angel food cake with Reddi Whip and crushed pineapple. It was WAY better than I thought it would be. Very, very happy with the results. It was delicious.

So, getting back into the swing of things wasn't too bad, even with eating out. I didn't exercise though. Kinda resting on my 5k laurels. LOL! Maybe I shouldn't have, but eh. It happens. Hoping this bodes well for the rest of the week.

  3. Nope. Did not make it myself. I'm lazy. Our grocery store makes SF Angel Food Cake in their bakery section. It's 15 calories for a slice. :)
