So, after about three and a half weeks of not knowing what was going on with my knee, I decided to go to the doctor. I was lucky in that I called this morning and they got me in this afternoon. I was a tad surprised.
I described to the doctor my symptoms, she checked out my knee, and it sounds better than I was anticipating. No swelling, no bruising, and no cyst. She does think I pulled something (a ligament or the hamstring, I don't remember which). So, course of action:
1. No running - I can walk and do the Wii, no running.
2. Stretching
3. Ibuprofin twice a day
All this for two weeks. At that time, reassess. Then determine if I can get moving again. If not, go to an orthopedic and probably get PT. But, I think I'm in good shape. My thoughts are, as long as I can get moving again by December, the half marathon training will be fine. So fingers crossed!
That is good news that there is no major injury. Take it easy and enjoy your rest. Those 2 weeks will go by faster than you think!
