Motivational Monday

Make sure your worst enemy doesn't live between your own two ears.

I honestly need to hear this all the time. I am my worst enemy. I know it. I say mean things to myself. I believe the mean things I say to myself. I see the negative in most situations. I believe that while I have friends, I am not a priority to them.

I am my own worst enemy. I know this. I need to remove the person who says things to me that are not positive. I need to change the way I see the world. Oddly enough, I am (I believe) the world's most optimistic person when it comes to others. They can achieve any goal they set out to. They are awesome. They shouldn't talk down to themselves.

Apparently, I need to take my own advice. LOL! So, my goal over the next few weeks is to change the "I can't" that I tell myself to "I can." I know that sounds simple and pretty basic, but I need that basicness. I need to remind myself I can do what I set out to do. I can eat healthier. I can get in my workouts. I can get in my runs. I can run faster than I think I can.

Are you your own worst enemy? What do you do to stop the negative talk?

  1. You are a priority to me, Friend! And while I may not always put it into words, I think of you often and miss you much.....damn these miles (and cats) between us! ;)

  2. Thank you Nicole! I appreciate the love. I still think of the time we had dinner at Niagara-on-the-Lake because we were both vacationing in Canada at the same time. Drove all the way to another country just to have dinner. LOL!
